✈️ Join us for Riverton’s Fly-In Event! ✈️

The City of Riverton invites you to a fun-filled day at the airport celebrating aviation, community, and family fun! Come explore aircraft up close, meet pilots, enjoy great food trucks, and other fun activities right here in Riverton.

Fremont EAA is hosting a Young Eagles Rally on August 23, 2026.

Local pilots donate their time, aircraft, and fuel to fly 8-17 year old youth for free in hopes of inspiring a love for aviation within the community.

Sign-ups for the YE Rally will be available at the Riverton Fly-in & Airport Day on August 22, 2026. Flights will take place in Riverton the following day and in Lander on August 30th.

Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a great community event, we’d love to see you there. Help us spread the word and invite your friends!

The City of Riverton is seeking letters of interest from individuals interested in serving on the Wind River Visitors Council (WRVC) Board.

The WRVC mission is to “stimulate tourism by increasing awareness of, and encouraging visitation to, the unique destinations, activities and events in Wind River Country.”

The WRVC is a Lodging Tax Board responsible for promoting travel and tourism throughout Fremont County and the Wind River Indian Reservation through expenditures of the Lodging Tax. The Council was formed through a Joint Powers Agreement in 1989 between the Fremont County Commissioners, the cities of Lander and Riverton, and the towns of Dubois, Hudson, and Shoshoni.

The Board consists of 10 members representing the participating municipalities and Fremont County. Members are appointed by local City Councils and the Fremont County Commissioners. Full terms are three-year staggered appointments, and no member may serve more than six years.

The Paws for the Cause Committee is currently seeking letters of interest to fill the following vacancies:

🐾 Two (2) community at-large positions
🐾 One (1) local veterinarian position

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit a letter of interest by Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Applicants will be selected at the June 2, 2026, Regular Council Meeting.

In observance of the holiday, Riverton City Offices will be closed on Memorial Day.

The splash pad at City Park will resume operations beginning Saturday, May 23, and will remain open through September 7.
