Aerial Mosquito Larviciding Notice
When: Monday, June 1, 2026, between 6 a.m. and sunset

Mercer County Mosquito Control conducted aerial larval mosquito control operations throughout the county by way of helicopter. Due to the size and inaccessibility of many mosquito breeding habitats, these areas are routinely treated when mosquito larvae are present in the standing water.
Residents may have observed our helicopter flying at low altitudes near residential areas while positioning to approach nearby treatment sites.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT an area-wide adult mosquito control (“mosquito spraying”) operation.
Aerial larviciding involves the use of Bti-based, target-specific, biorational granules applied directly over standing water to help prevent larval mosquitoes from developing into biting adult mosquitoes.

Aircraft Information:
Make/Model: Bell OH-58
Tail Number: N653HA
Paint Scheme: Gray with blue and red striping
