We are asking all residents, builders, contractors, and businesses to immediately stop dumping materials at the site of the future Rolling Meadows Park. This area is not a dumping location, and illegal dumping is considered littering under village ordinance.
The continued dumping of cement slabs, brush, construction debris, and other materials is delaying progress on the development of Rolling Meadows Park for our community.
Please see the pictures below of materials that are being illegally dumped and contributing to delays in the project.
Please be advised that the Village does have a littering ordinance, and the Police Department has been notified of the ongoing situation and will be monitoring the area.
Village Ordinance Sec. 34-11 – Littering states:
“No person shall throw any glass, refuse, waste, filth or other litter upon the streets, alleys, highways, public parks or other property of the village or upon any private property or upon the surface of any body of water within the village.”
(Code 1980, § 9.10)
