Field of Fun at Soldiers Field In 2005 the Rochester community came together to design, raise money/supplies/equipment and build (with their very own hands) an amazing playground!

This is a page to celebrate the wonderful events that took place in 2005 when an entire community came together to create an amazing playground at Soldiers Field in Rochester MN. We are launching this page today to prepare for our 10 year anniversary. We plan to come together again to revitalize the playground and possibly add some more equipment. We hope you will join us!

Grab your brushes and help us bring the Pergola back to life!

The sandbox will be closed Sunday evening so that we can stain the Pergola starting at 6:30 PM. It would be wonderful if a few volunteers could join us.

Hey friends of Field Of Fun… things have gotten a bit out of hand.

In past years a few “new” sand toys and trucks have appeared in the sandbox. Overall they were in decent shape, and we cleared out the broken or hazardous toys at the end of the season.

This year, however, it seems that the playground has become a dumping ground for every unwanted toy including large cars and even a mini trampoline!

The playground is not the Island of Misfit Toys, so PLEASE stop bringing your unwanted toys here.

If you have left a large toy here, we would appreciate you coming back for it. If anyone wants to take a toy and give it a new home, please do!

Woohoo! Parks and Rec really gave us a huge help by pouring the footings and placing the main posts last week! Now we just need to find a day without rain to complete the project.
