Hey Broadway District Residents: come by the Broadway Greenspace on the corner of 7th Ave & 23rd St today between 11-3 for our annual Block Party. We host this to bring neighbors together to meet, catch up, and as a thank you for our cleanup and Mother’s Day Tour volunteers. Feel free to bring a side dish or chair. Feel free to stay or just pop by! This is a great opportunity to get involved in your community and to meet other people who own historic homes and discuss the challenges we encounter with preservation/restoration.

It’s our annual Block Party this Saturday 8/29 from 11-3 at the Broadway Greenspace on the corner of 7th Ave & 23rd St. we’ll have burgers, hot dogs, chips, water. Bring a chair and if you like to show off a great side dish feel free to bring one! We host this to bring our neighbors together each year and meet each other, catch up, discuss neighborhood activities, and as a thank you for the volunteers that show up to our cleanups and help with the Mother’s Day Tour. Pop by anytime, one don’t have to stay the whole time. If you’ve wanted to meet some neighbors then this is your sign! Bounce house will be there as usual for the kids.

Attention Broadway Historic District residents and all the volunteers that showed up to our cleanups or helped the the Mother’s Day Tour: we’re having a Broadway Block Party Saturday at the Broadway Greenspace on the corner of 7th Ave & 23rd st. Hot dogs, burgers, chips, water will all be provided. We’ll have a bounce house for the kids. Bring a chair and come visit with your neighbors. If you have a favorite side dish you love to show off, feel free to bring it! This is an opportunity to meet others living in historic homes and talk about the restoration/preservation challenges you have encountered. Have concerns about our neighborhood? ****UPDATE***** the meeting has changed to 5/28.

We apologize for the last minute notice. We had a few board members have last minute conflicts and needed to reschedule to maintain a quorum.

The Broadway Historic District Association will have its monthly meeting Thursday 5/28/26 at 1923 10th Ave 6:30-8pm. These meetings are open to all Broadway District residents. No sign up in advance required. Public comment is at the start of the meeting.

A Mother’s Day Tour of Homes

For those that love to see historic homes restored, preserved, and adapting to modern families, we open the doors to 5 homes on 23rd ST, the original Broadway Street. $20 per person cash or check, start at 816, 837, or 904. Parking available in lots on East side of 23rd across from Rock Island Bible Church just off 7th Ave. Please note that our homes were not built with accessibility in mind and all homes have steps to enter.

Attention Brodway residents: Rock Island public works will be doing street sweeping in our neighborhood this week. It would be great if we could all park off the street as much as possible until they come through!
