“HEY YOU GUYS! Movie in the Park Returns Friday With The Goonies”

www.whatsgoingonqc.com

One of the best parts of summer in Moline is officially back.

This Friday, May 22, families, friends, and movie lovers are invited to Karstens Park for the first Movie in the Park night of the 2026 season….and they’re kicking things off with an absolute classic: The Goonies.

As the sun starts to set and the park fills with blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and kids running around before the movie starts, the big screen will light up at approximately 8:20 p.m. for a night full of adventure, treasure maps, pirate ships, and pure 80s nostalgia.

Whether you grew up quoting the movie or you’re introducing your kids to it for the very first time, this honestly feels like the perfect way to start summer in the Quad Cities.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks, chairs or blankets, and maybe a little bug spray too. The event is hosted by the Moline Parks and Recreation Department at Karstens Park.

And remember… Goonies never say die.
