🎬 Collaboration is Key to Growing Illinois' Film Industry!

Yesterday, the Quad Cities Film Office team and summer interns had the opportunity to visit the Champaign County Film Office and Flyover Film Studios for a day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

We enjoyed connecting with another Illinois film office to exchange ideas, discuss best practices, and explore new ways to support filmmakers and attract productions to our communities. Building strong relationships with our colleagues across the state helps all of Illinois become a more competitive and film-friendly destination.

A highlight of the day was touring Flyover Studios. Seeing the vision, investment, and incredible work being done to create a world-class production facility was truly inspiring. Projects like this are helping position Illinois as a premier destination for film and television production while creating jobs, strengthening our creative workforce, and generating economic impact across the state.

A special thank you to the teams at the Champaign-Urbana Film Office and Flyover Studios for your warm hospitality and for sharing your knowledge and vision. We returned to the Quad Cities with new ideas, valuable connections, and even more excitement about the future of filmmaking in Illinois!

The QC Film Office is proud to support Alternating Currents again this year and is hosting a screening of Will Do Films Jury of Her Peers on Sunday, August 16 at 2 p.m.!

Congratulations to Fresh-Films on a successful summer project! Story via WVIK, Quad Cities NPR

Students from across the country converged on Rock Island in July 2026 to take part in front and behind the camera in filming a new streaming series.

Students from across the nation have been in the Quad Cities working with locally based Fresh-Films on a streaming series - hands on learning all of those skills that they can use to further their careers in film and TV! Can't wait to see the series! 🎥

There's a production in town -!- Fresh Films will be busy for the next couple of weeks filming for streaming series Dearly Departed, a co-production with Rock Media that is planned for a Tubi and YouTube.
