Nicole Bennett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, feminist, advocate, researcher and mother. She has received a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Illinois State University. Nicole has over 15 years of extensive experience working with trauma surrounding youth and their families. She has an extensive background that inclu
des work in child welfare, domestic violence, outpatient mental health facilities, a child advocacy center, Rockford Public schools, and a nonprofit, where she served as the Director of Education Initiatives. Nicole was previously the program developer for Move the Middle, a United Way initiative which advocates for middle school student’s equitable access to academic, social, and emotional resources to support middle school students. Nicole is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the School Social Worker Association of America. Nicole serves on the Operating Board of Alignment Rockford, a nonprofit working together to advance educational achievement and further educational attainment. Nicole Bennett always ensures everyone she encounters feels seen, heard, understood and empowered. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dominick, and being a mom to her daughter, Love. Nicole loves reading, going out to eat, flowers, coffee mugs, live music, traveling, being with family, The Office, and any reason to be in the sun or near water.
