Thank you to Caroline and the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund for joining me in Hanover yesterday, and for endorsing our campaign for State Representative in the 5th Plymouth District.

Access to health care is under constant pressure right now. Families in our district need a State House voice that protects that care and works to bring resources home to our communities. I will always fight for women's health care, and for women's issues more broadly. That includes affordability, caregiving, economic security and making sure families have what they need to thrive.

We spent Saturday knocking on doors and talking with neighbors, and we'll be back out again soon. If you have questions, have them ready. We may be coming to your door. You can also reach out anytime.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Early voting and vote-by-mail are available too. Check with your town clerk for hours and locations.

Early voting for the November 3 state election is open now. Here's what to know in Hanover, Hanson, Norwell and Rockland:

🗓️ Saturday, October 24 – Last day to register to vote
Check your status: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/voterregistrationsearch

✉️ Tuesday, October 27 (5 p.m.) – Last day to apply to vote by mail
Mailing your ballot back? Send it at least a week before Election Day. You can also use your town's drop box or bring it to your local election office.

🗳️ October 17–30 – Early voting in person
Every town has hours on both weekends (Oct. 17–18 and Oct. 24–25). Many towns have short or no hours on Fridays, so check your town's schedule: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/earlyvotingweb/

🇺🇸 Tuesday, November 3 – Election Day
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you're in line by 8, you can vote.

Knocked 75 doors in Hanover today! Had to end early because of the Patriots game. So excited to see an ultra rare 1973 Triumph GT6. Honored to have earned to vote from the owner and his wife 💜

Day 5: the 2020 state budget. This was the year Rep. DeCoste went big.

$2 million for the dangerous Route 139 intersection by Hanover Town Hall. $260,000 for Norwell school safety. $250,000 for South Shore Vo-Tech.

All three: zero.

On his own, he got $50,000, split between a Rockland English-learner program and Norwell Housing Authority accessibility work. Another $40,000 for the Rockland Housing Authority made it only because Sen. John Keenan's version did.

FY2020 total: $90,000

Top earner: Rep. Chynah Tyler, $700,000, nearly eight times as much

Small results.

How we found these numbers: Every figure comes from public records on malegislature.gov. We took every budget amendment each House member filed and searched for it in the budget the Governor actually signed. If it isn't in the signed law, it didn't come home. Every state rep went through the same test. You can confirm the three big asks didn't make it. Open the signed law and search it. "Hanover" appears only once, in the local-aid table, so the Route 139 money isn't there. "South Shore" never appears next to vocational, regional or technical. "Norwell" appears six times, and none of them is a school item. We also checked Rep. Tyler's 22 amendments one by one against the law before naming her figure.
