نهنئ مارلين نبيل يونان، ابنة قريتنا مزرا، على فوزها في الانتخابات بألمانيا، حيث انتُخبت لعضوية مجلس مدينة غيسن. نتمنى لها كل التوفيق والنجاح الدائم في مسيرتها السياسية.

فازت السياسية الآشورية، مارلين نبيل يونان، بعضوية مجلس مدينة كيسن في المانيا، بعد حصولها على 23,472 صوتًا، ممثلة الحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي الألماني (SPD).
يعكس هذا الإنجاز ثقة المجتمع المحلي بها، ويعتبر خطوة مهمة لأبناء الأمة الآشورية في المشاركة السياسية ودور المرأة في الحياة العامة.

The 4th Century Church of Rabban Pithyou in Mazra’a, Tkhuma Valley, Hakkari. Every year the people of Mazra’a village and Tkhuma Gawaya would prepare the feast of Rabban Pithyou.

Inside the Church there was a yellow cross (Sliwa Zera) and every year on December 25th, the cross would be taken to the houses of Mazra’a by the clergy of the village (Be-Qasha). The next day it would be taken to Tkhuma Gawaya, for the same process until it was returned. The cross was known to bring healing power and inspired the dedication to the Martyr Rabban Pithyou.

كنيسة ربان بيثيو، التي تعود للقرن الرابع الميلادي، في مزرعة، وادي تخوما، هكاري. كان أهالي قرية مزرعة وتخما غوايا يُعدّون سنويًا عيد ربان بيثيو.

كان داخل الكنيسة صليب أصفر (سليوا زيرا)، وفي الخامس والعشرين من ديسمبر من كل عام، كان رجال دين القرية (بي-قاشا) ينقلونه إلى منازل المزرعة. وفي اليوم التالي، كان يُنقل إلى تخوما غوايا، وتُكرّر العملية نفسها حتى إعادته. عُرف الصليب بقدرته على الشفاء، وكان مصدر إلهام لتكريسه للشهيد ربان بيثيو.
