Today marked our first House Meeting, and students got their first look at what being part of a House is all about!

From brainstorming and voting on House mascots to designing team banners, students jumped right in, showed their creativity, and started building the teamwork and community that make our House system special. 💙💚❤️💛💜🩷

And this is just the beginning! We can’t wait to see the friendships, traditions, and House pride that grow throughout the year.

On Monday, students in grades 8-12 learned about available college and career assessments provided at Arkansas Arts Academy during the 2026-2027 school year. Mr. Smithers and Ms. Dale invite families to come to an information session on these college and career assessments at AAA HS on September 8th at 6 pm. We will review the available assessments and offer a time for you to ask questions as well as to confirm your student's assessment choices.

🍎 FREE BREAKFAST FOR EVERY STUDENT!

Start the school day strong! Every student in our district can receive ONE FREE BREAKFAST each school day . There is no income requirement, and students do not need to qualify for any other meal program to participate.

A healthy breakfast can help students:
⭐ Stay focused and energized
⭐ Be ready to learn
⭐ Get a strong start to their school day

This statewide initiative is part of a broader effort to help address food insecurity and support student success across Arkansas.

Starting the School Year with Fresh Ideas & New Skills!

Our Child Nutrition staff kicked off the school year with an exciting hands-on training led by Brightwater’s Chef Jenkins and Chef Simmons!

Together, our team learned new scratch-cooking techniques while preparing a delicious ramen bowl, quick-pickling a variety of fresh vegetables, and baking homemade banana bread. These skills and ideas will help inspire fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for our students throughout the school year! 💚

We are grateful to the Full Futures Alliance for a Healthier Generation Grant, which made this valuable professional development opportunity possible.

💚 Meet the Heart Behind Our K–2 Classrooms! 💚

There’s something pretty special about teaching our youngest learners. Every day brings new discoveries, new questions, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities to grow, and our K–2 team is ready for all of it!

These educators create classrooms where students feel known, supported, challenged, and celebrated. They turn everyday moments into learning opportunities, encourage curiosity and creativity, and help our students take those important first steps toward becoming confident learners.

We’re incredibly grateful for the energy, imagination, and care this team brings to our school each day.

🫰🫰They’re creepy. They’re kooky. They’re officially cast… and we can’t wait to see what they dig up.🫰🫰

After summoning an extraordinary number of talented performers from across our community, we are thrilled...and just a little terrified...to introduce the cast of AOP’s The Addams Family! 🖤

The passion, preparation, and talent we saw throughout auditions made casting deliciously difficult. To everyone who shared their time, courage, and creativity with us: thank you. We are continually amazed by the depth of talent in our theatre community and deeply grateful that so many people wanted to join us in the darkness.

Now, please give a warm (ahem, or appropriately chilling) welcome to our Addams family, the Beinekes, and a spirited collection of Ancestors who simply refuse to stay buried. ⚰️🌙
