Hampshire County Veterans Foundation The Hampshire County Veterans Foundation provides assistance to local Veterans and their immediate family members. This event is open to the public.

We have an annual Event in September which is the Veterans Appreciation Festival and Freedom Ride. Saturday September 10, 2022 is the date for this year's Veteran's Appreciation Festival and Freedom Ride Event, sponsored by the Hampshire County Veterans Foundation~!! This is a "two" part event to Honor our Veterans.

1~The VETERANS APPRECIATION FESTIVAL will be at the Capon Bridge VFD grounds beh

ind the station... opening at 12 noon. This Festival is open to the public for the entire community. FREE admission .. FREE parking .. FREE bounce houses. Bring your lawn chair(s) and enjoy an afternoon full of live music, food, bounce houses, and various vendors until 6:00 pm. We also have a live auction. Entertainment for this year will be Maysville Express .. Luke Hoover .. Maria Rose and Danny Elswick. Anyone wanting to set-up as a Vendor please call 540-450-6850.

2~The FREEDOM RIDE will have 3 stops. Registration beginning at 8:30 am at Romney Cycles with kickstands up at 10:00 am. Second stop will be at Tri-County Honda & Yamaha, Petersburg, WV. Registration there will start at 10:00 am and kickstands up at 11:45. Third stop will be at Capon Valley VFD in Wardensville, WV for lunch. Registration there begins at 12:30 with kickstands up at 2:30. The Ride will finish at the Capon Bridge VFD Grounds to join in with the Veteran's Appreciation Festival Celebration. Registration Fee for Freedom Ride is $20.00 for a single rider OR $30.00 for double riders...which includes our Freedom Ride pin FREE and includes breakfast at Romney Cycle (Donuts and coffee) Cold drinks and snacks at Tri-County Honda & Yamaha, and Lunch at Wardensville Fairgrounds (TBD). Veterans Appreciation Day in Capon Bridge is FREE to the public. Riders be sure to decorate your Bikes with Patriotic colors~!!

The 12th Annual Freedom Ride hits the road Saturday, September 13 — starting in Romney and rolling through WV with stops, food, and prizes — all to benefit the Hampshire County Veterans Foundation.

Your final stop? The Veterans Appreciation Festival in Capon Bridge, with live music, a BBQ feast, kids’ zone, and a 5 PM auction. 🎤🍗🎯
