Our Annual Haunted House #2 has finally arrived… and this year, The Ellis Mansion has something waiting for you.

This isn’t your average haunted house. Step inside for an extremely interactive experience where your group will make the journey through the mansion all on your own—with no groups in front of you and no one behind you.

And this year, your ticket includes even more. You’ll face a tricky escape room, where the choices you make could determine whether you’re worthy of claiming the mansion itself.

After sitting abandoned for 26 years, The Ellis Mansion has opened its doors and offered you an inheritance that seems almost too good to be true…

This special hat box was donated to The Ellis Mansion from WV Helping Hands Thrift Store in honor of keeping it part of Ronceverte’s history. We appreciate the mansion being recognized as a historic landmark worthy of being a keep-saver of Ronceverte’s history and our team being recognized as responsible historic preservation keepers. Do you remember this store in Ronceverte, WV? We don’t recognize it but we have a feeling it was close to the time period that the ladies who lived here owned their shops known as ‘The Ellis Style Shop’ and ‘The Greenbrier Drug Store.’ How cool is that? It even came with a hat.

Do you love Halloween, haunted houses, or acting? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteer scare actors to help create an unforgettable haunted experience at the historic Ellis Mansion every weekend throughout October 2026.

Whether you’re an experienced actor or just love getting into character, we’d love to have you on our team. Costumes, makeup, monsters, creepy characters—there’s a place for everyone!
