Sub for Santa

12/15/2025

Sub for Santa was able to serve 83 families and 170 children this year. The generosity, volunteerism and thoughtful consideration from companies and their employees, to organizations, families, and individuals young and old throughout our community was overwhelming.

People in our community going out of their way to help others in need is something we saw continuously throughout the Sub for Santa drive.

The wave of kind compassion was all encompassing, from the companies that bid on the Sub for Santa Tree, to the oil company donating bikes and much needed items for older teens, to all the businesses that said yes to hosting the Sub for Santa collection totes, to a locally owned small business that annually goes the extra mile in collecting blankets, toys and clothing and sends all of their employees to help set up Sub for Santa.

To Union High cheerleaders who held a successful fund raiser to buy toys and clothes, to Union’s FCCLA chapter members who took on special tasks, to a young family who brought in a large basket of 3-D printed stocking stuffers to pay it forward because they were once served by Sub for Santa, to an older couple hoping they weren’t too late to donate, carrying in toys and stuffed animals.

To those who took Angel Tree tags, sent Venmo donations or donated extra at the checkout while grocery shopping, to volunteers assisting Sub For Santa families “shop” and others asking to volunteer in any way possible ... To the House Of Hope guys who did most of the heavy lifting! And so many, many more who make Sub for Santa possible each year -

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love shown to those in need at Christmas in our community.
