On December 7, 2025, the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division saw a few long-time members of the Minnesota National Guard retire from the ranks. Two of those Soldiers, Sgt. Major Christopher Schlukebier, and Master Sgt. Aaron Hildebrant, retired after 42 and 32 years of service, respectively. We thank you both for so many years of meaningful service to your state and nation.

While the Red Bulls saw a few people go, we also welcomed several new Soldiers to the ranks. Some are just at the beginning of their careers, and a few have returned to the division. Congratulations to all!

The Red Bull family sends our deepest sympathies to the family, friends and communities of our Iowa National Guard team as they mourn the loss of two of its finest who were killed in an attack in Syria on Saturday, December 13.

Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard and Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar both assigned to 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment, which is part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division.

We are also keeping the three Soldiers from the same element who were injured during the attack in our hearts and minds. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The brigade is currently deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S. mission to advise, assist, and enable partner forces in the enduring defeat of ISIS.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Army Sgt. Ebenezer Olagunju moved to the United States to begin a new chapter in his life. Enlisting in the Minnesota National Guard in 2022, he trained as an automated logistical specialist.

“I wanted to serve the country that gave me new opportunities and to grow in a structured, disciplined environment,” he said. “The Guard allows me to serve my state and nation while still maintaining my civilian career in technology. That balance of service and professional growth is what truly inspired me to enlist.”
