Honored to have been named to the DFW 100 Most Influential Young Professionals list, powered by the DFW Urban League Young Professionals.

To be recognized alongside such an incredible group of leaders across this region is not something I take lightly.

Grateful for the chance to do this work!

Rowlett, you showed up and showed out for our students.

The response to our school supply drive was remarkable, and it was a joy delivering everything on the first day back to school. Thanks to the generosity of this community, we collected an incredible amount of supplies last week, and every item will go directly toward helping students and teachers in need.

One of those deliveries was particularly special: my old elementary school. Almost 20 years later, and they still had my 4th-grade yearbook!

A special thank you to Barroco's Latin Cuisine, Tree of Life Olive Oil, and Girlfriends for allowing us to use your space for our supply drive.

Here's to a great school year!

đź‘€BREAKING: Local Councilmember Runs 5K, Raising Important Question: Why?

Councilmember John P. Bowers III hit the pavement this morning for the Rowlett Freedom 5K, demonstrating leadership, endurance, and a deeply questionable definition of “fun.”

Sources confirm he completed the race, represented Rowlett well, and may have even smiled through the pain. Great job, Councilmember! Way to lead from the front, literally!

Special thanks to Rowlett Area Chamber for this morning’s fun!

Here's to year 28. Thank you for all the kind birthday wishes! I'm excited for what's next.

It was an honor and a privilege to deliver our city's Juneteenth Proclamation this week.

Today is a powerful reminder of the long fight for freedom in our state and country.

While we've made progress, how we approach the work ahead of us defines our future.

One year ago today, I was sworn in to serve the City of Rowlett on the City Council.

Every assignment, committee meeting, and neighborhood conversation has reminded me of why I stepped up to serve. Earning the trust of my colleagues to serve as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem in year one is something I do not take lightly.

To everyone who continues to believe in me, encourages me, and holds me accountable: thank you. There is no version of this without you.

It's an honor and privilege to have been reappointed to the Finance Sub-Committee and Governmental Affairs, and I'm proud to add the Library Advisory Board Liaison to my work alongside the Youth Advisory Council.

Every assignment is an opportunity to show up for Rowlett.
