For those residents living within the city limits of Russellville, the Russellville City Street Department is picking up trash items left outside on the curb during the month of May 2026. They are roughly following the weekly city brush routes, which can be seen on russellvilleky.gov . They do not pick up electronics, tires, construction debris, or any hazardous waste. For more information, call city hall at 270-726-5000 or the street dpt. at 270-726-5030. See also the attached flier.

Our Spring 2026 E-scrap day for Logan County residents only is Friday May 8, 2026 at the Logan County Recycling Center, 1230 Morgantown Road from 9 am to 1 pm.
E-scrap is free to bring, except there is a $10 charge for computer monitors and TV's. Please ask if you have questions on what to bring by messaging on Facebook or calling 270-726-7220. (Note there will NOT be hazardous waste collection or tire collection at this event).

We wanted to announce a new recycling program for Logan County residents only. It is offered from Scott Waste Services. A new recycling box has been placed at the Apex Transfer Station, 55 Pleasant View Drive in Auburn. (Note-this is NOT at/associated with the County Recycling Center in Russellville.)
This site accepts single stream material (materials can be combined together without plastic bags, as they are in the Scott Waste Recycling totes).
The materials taken are---flattened cardboard, clean paper, food plastics #1, #2, and #5, and metal cans.
They don't accept plastic bags, Styrofoam, glass, clothes, e-waste, hazardous materials, or any trash.
The roll off is at a pull-in site before the scales, It will be open for the public 8am-3pm Monday-Friday and also on Free Dump days the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month from 8 am to noon. Residents are limited to a 1 visit/week and no contractors/businesses. It is for residential customer use only. Questions call 270-783-4016.

Due to the ice this week, Scott Waste unfortunately was unable to reach about 30% of Logan county customers. So, to help with this issue, Scott Waste is opening the Apex transfer station for free dump days all week next week Monday thru Friday 2/9-2/13, 2026 from 7 am to 3 pm and Saturday from 8 to noon, as usual for the regular free dump day. The address is 55 Pleasant View Drive in Auburn. There will also be recycling bins all week at the same site in Auburn (not the Russellville Recycling center) to put all normal recyclables. You need to be a Logan County resident to participate. No tires, freon containing appliances, hazardous chemicals, paint, or car batteries can be accepted.
