Join us for Rutland’s 30th Annual Town-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, April 25 from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM — and YES, as always, this is a rain or shine event!

To be included on the official map, you must register and email us by 5 PM today. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this long-standing community tradition!

Want to sell?
Your registration includes:
• An official yard sale sign (remaining signs will be delivered today)
• A listing and dot on our printed and digital event map
• Promotion to 10,000+ residents and surrounding visitors

If your home is harder to access or you’d like extra visibility, consider setting up on the Town Common, which will be a busy hub with great foot traffic and food trucks throughout the day.

🇺🇸 We’re excited to announce this year’s Rutland 4th of July Parade Theme! 🇺🇸

“Spirit of America: Rooted in Rutland”

As we celebrate 250 years since the founding of our nation, this year’s theme honors not only America’s history, but the deep roots that make Rutland so special. From the land’s Native American origins to the revolutionary ideals that shaped our country, Rutland’s story reflects the strength, growth, and connection of our community.

As the geographical center of Massachusetts—marked by a living, growing tree—Rutland reminds us that no matter how much we grow, our roots keep us grounded.

🌳 This year, we invite you to start thinking about what it means to be “rooted” — in place, in people, and in possibility. Whether inspired by America’s founding, Rutland’s early history, or the spirit of neighbors coming together, there are so many meaningful (and creative!) ways to bring this theme to life.

More details to come… but we can’t wait to see how this theme takes shape across our celebration.

The Rutland 4th of July Committee is getting ready for our 2026 celebration, and we’re looking for an amazing band to help us bring the energy 🎤

This is a BIG night — we’re talking 10,000+ people, summer vibes, and a crowd ready to have a great time.

Happy Egg Hunt Day! We are so excited to see over 100 kids for a fun-filled event with bunny photos and our egg hunt on the Common today.

Last-minute change of plans? You’re still welcome to join us! We will be accepting walk-ons today — just please bring the donation in cash during the registration from 11:30 am to Noon.

🎆 The 78th Town of Rutland, MA 4th of July Celebration planning is officially underway! 🎆

Our committee held our first meeting of 2026 last night, and we’re excited to kick off the season together. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate Rutland’s long-standing tradition in conjunction with the country’s Bicentennial 🇺🇸.
