Curt J Esposito for Rutland City Alderman

Curt J Esposito for Rutland City Alderman Public service is a dream of mine and I have decided to fulfill that dream in my hometown. Vote 2026!

03/04/2026

Good morning everyone! I came up very short again this time around but the city is in good hands. I want to congratulate all of the successful candidates who have been entrusted with our city's governance. Please find a way to come together and do what's best for our city.

Thank you to my brother Michael Esposito and my parents Gene and Jan Esposito for all of their time and support. I would also like to thank Tim Crean who provided me with support and advice throughout the campaign.

Thank you to Rutland City Alderman, Alex Adams, Paul Clifford, Sharon Davis Lawrence P. Cupoli, Dave Allaire, Matt Whitcomb and Bill Gillam for all of your support.

A special thanks to Tom Donahue and Gayle Donahue for your support, encouragement and belief in a better Rutland for us all. I know the Mayor's chair is in good hands.

Thank you to Gregory Thayer for looking out for me, providing advice and giving me the dose of the old neighborhood whenever I needed it.

Thank you to Jeff Paul for your constant encouragement.

To anyone who generously hosted signs for me, I will be around this afternoon to pick them up.

Lastly, I would again like to encourage all members of our Board of Aldermen to find a way to come together and do what is best for our city as a whole.

Thank you Rutland! Be good to each other.

Today's the day! Get out and vote!

⚠️⚠️ 6:30AM UPDATE⚠️⚠️
DPW completed the repair at approximately 3AM this morning. Traffic has resumed in its normal fashion however use caution in the area due to the repair and the road currently not being paved.

⚠️⚠️ 3:00PM UPDATE⚠️⚠️
Unfortunately DPW is having to close the turning lane on N Main St that allows you to go east on Woodstock Ave. The detour to get back to Woodstock Ave will be Terrill St to East St. Southbound traffic on N Main St is still flowing normally. Northbound traffic is still proceeding through the intersection however is merging down to one lane prior to the Woodstock Ave/N Main St intersection. Once again, if you can avoid this area please do so, but if you have to go through this area, especially northbound, please use extreme caution and obey all lane closures.

⚠️⚠️ 2:30PM UPDATE⚠️⚠️
Woodstock Avenue heading westbound is now closed at both the Bellevue Ave intersection as well as the East St intersection due to the water main break at Woodstock and N Main. For those looking to travel north on North Main from Woodstock Ave, you will have to travel down Bellevue Ave to Temple St and pickup of N Main from there. For those looking to travel south on Main St, you will have to go down East St and take either E. Center St or E. Washington St to easily access southbound traffic on S Main St. Be advised that the righthand turn lane from N Main St to head east on Woodstock Ave may also have to be shut down depending on the area the needs to be excavated by DPW. If that does happen, we will update this post once again.

⚠️⚠️TRAFFIC ADVISORY⚠️⚠️

Please avoid the area of North Main St and Woodstock Ave. There is a water main break in the intersection that is going to significantly impact traffic that is heading northbound on N Main St as well as traffic that is attempting to head south off of Woodstock Ave. DPW is assembling crews to address the problem and we ask that you find alternate routes at this time, and we will update this post when the flow of traffic returns to normal.

About to enjoy a nice dinner with family. Come by to eat and say hello.

The City of Rutland has been studying ways to improve public safety at the intersections of Routes 4 & 7. A public meeting will be held at 6:30PM on Wednesday, March 25th, to review the preferred alternative and collect public feedback.
