Thank you to everyone who attended my community meeting about our shared responsibility and safety for e-bikes, scooters, bicycles and pedestrians on our roads and trails. It was a packed house on Monday evening! California Highway Patrol, Sacramento County Regional Parks and Sacramento County Department of Transportation provided plenty of information for attendees. An audio recording of the meeting will be posted on the Board of Supervisors website.

Others at the meeting expressed concern about modified e-bikes and e-motos.

On Saturday, I attended a Iu Mien event to celebrate 50 years since members of the Iu Mien settled in the United States after the end of the Vietnam War and the fall of Saigon. It was a pleasure to see such a rich and vibrant celebration of Iu Mien culture combined with genuine patriotism for our country and love for our Sacramento County community.

It was a somber Memorial Day event at Koobs Nature Area to remember La Sierra High School alumni in Carmichael who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country during the Vietnam War. Thank you to the community members who turned out to pray, remember, and honor local neighbors, friends, and classmates.
