National Farmers' Market Week has officially begun and we're kicking it off by announcing major updates to our local Farmers' Market guide! For the past few years, we've maintained the only complete guide to certified farmers' markets in Sacramento and Yolo Counties. We are now proud to include Placer County as well! Find it at: https://alchemistcdc.org/fm/

This time of year, a lot of publications put out lists of local markets, but they typically miss dozens of certified farmers' markets and often include markets that don't actually protect and promote local growers. We provide this guide (including a map and a table) so that you always have an easy resource to consult and share when you want to find a certified farmers' market nearby. You can also use use sacfarmersmarkets.com to access the guide.

All of us at Alchemist CDC want to wish a hearty congratulations to the Davis Farmers Market on their 50th anniversary! We asked a few current and former staff members to briefly share about their personal histories with the market:
