I’m proud to announce that I’m running for the St. Clair R-XIII School District School Board as a voice for the students, teachers, staff, and parents and to help the district achieve the goals of improving attendance, student achievement and building a positive climate and culture for the students. The students are our future leaders.
I will strive to support the school district to achieve the highest quality education, teaching and learning environment and educational experience for the students.
I am a lifelong resident of Franklin County and reside on our farm in St. Clair with my wife, Wendy (Myers) Hartmann, a graduate of St Clair High School. We have one daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. Over the years, I was a member of the Franklin County Honor Flight serving as a guardian, team leader, and flight captain. I served on Four Rivers Career Center Welding Advisory Committee, Union Rotary Club as President and Assistant Governor, Union Chamber of Commerce Board, Franklin County Planning and Zoning and on the Ridge Church facilities committee, and security team.
I am a member of the Meramec Area Chaplaincy Coalition for law enforcement, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol Peer Support Team, Anaconda Neighborhood Watch Group and Co-chair for the Franklin County National Day Prayer. I enjoy the opportunity to serve and make a positive difference in the lives of so many.
I have thirty years of business experience in the welding and gas industry working for Acetylene Gas, Airgas, Linde Gas, and my own company. I started and owned Eagle Safety Products, a welding and gas supply company, located in Union from December 2008 – May 2023.
In January 2024, I made a significant career change when I went through a 23-week academy and started working for the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a Commercial Vehicle Officer. Proudly serving and protecting our community.
Owning and running successful businesses, I know the importance of budgets, setting goals and making tough decisions. Leadership accountability, safety, trust, honesty, integrity are my core values that guide me in everything I do.
I believe in transparency, fiscal responsibility and making the best decisions for our students, teachers, staff, and our community. I will be a wise steward of our tax dollars.
I have a servant’s heart, and it will be an honor to serve our school district and community to the best of my ability with integrity and honesty.
I would appreciate your vote on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Together we can make a difference. You can reach me at [email protected] if you have questions.
Respectfully,
Dennis Hartmann
