The countdown begins. Let us see where this goes!! There has to be more than 63 rotten pumpkins!
Platform:
1. For You — the Taxpayer
My commitment is to you, the taxpayer. Every decision I make will focus on protecting your interests and ensuring your voice is heard in city government.
2. Transparency and Accountability
City government should be open and honest. I’ll make sure information is easy to access and that decisions are made in plain sight — not behind closed doors.
3. Meetings That Work for Everyone
Every taxpayer deserves the opportunity to attend and participate in city meetings. I’ll push for schedules and communication that make it easier for all citizens to be involved.
4. A City Led by Its People — Not Insiders
Our city is stronger when decisions come from everyday taxpayers, not special interests or insiders. I'm not part of the elite club, i’m part of this community, just like you.
5. Let’s Save I-229
There’s still time to save I-229, and I’ll fight to make sure we do. This is a vital part of our city’s future, and we shouldn’t give up on it.
6. Stop Waste and Sewer Rate Hikes
We can stop unnecessary sewer rate increases. I’ll work to end the wasteful spending and mismanagement of the $450 million that’s still being spent without clear results.
7. Common Sense Campaign Spending
It doesn’t make sense to spend $120,000 to win a position that pays $9,500 a year. I’ll do what I did before — spend $0.00. Public service should be about serving people, not buying influence.
8. Accountability in Major Decisions
Recently, the city council and mayor voted unanimously to follow whatever the SJSD administration wanted — approving two schools without a true public decision. That’s not how transparent government works, and taxpayers deserve better.
9. Restore Full Public Access and End Outdated Restrictions
It’s time to fully reopen city government to the people. The mayor and city council continue to enforce outdated COVID-era protocols that limit public attendance and interaction at regular biweekly meetings. Also, all work sessions and committee meetings should be taken off of COVID protocol restrictions and given back to the taxpayer, voters, and every St. Joseph citizen. These restrictions reduce transparency and create an environment where too many discussions happen out of public view. Our community deserves open meetings, open dialogue, and open decision-making — not hidden, offline deals.
