The Calumet County Fair is Saluting All Veterans during their Military Appreciation Day on Monday (Labor Day), September 7th, 2026.

Join the Military Salute beginning at 10 am at the Farm Progress Pavilion. You are encouraged to wear your Veteran or Veterans organization hat/gear or red/white/blue as we continue to celebrate America 250!

Free fair admission for everyone!!

American Legion Post 477 assumed responsibility of the Meeme Liberty Pole in 2022. In early 2026, we began making plans to place this 60 foot flagpole on the site ensuring that the US Flag will continue to fly over this community for generations to come!! On the nation's 250th birthday, July 4th 2026, we dedicated this amazing 60 foot industrial strength flagpole which displays a 12 x 18 US flag everyday. Thank you to our neighbors, friends and community for making this happen!

Meatfest is Saturday September 12th!! The day kicks off with co****le at 1 pm, brat fry 4-8 benefitting the St Nazianz Historical Society. 50/50 raffle with proceeds going to the St Nazianz Historical Society. Live music 6-9.

AND, the American Legion 477 Family will lead the Community Parade with stepoff at 5:30 pm!!

A great day of Community Spirit!! Come join the fun.

Our most recent Story of Service was with Amy Luft, the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Wisconsin President. Amy's special project for the 2026-2027 year is Wings of Honor: Helping Our Heroes Take Flight.

Wings of Honor has two parts, raising funds for honor flights, but also identifying Veterans who haven't been on their honor flight and helping them apply.

Not only did she sing the National Anthem, her speech after was very inspiring.
