DEADLINE: Property Tax refund applications are due by August 15th! This year the Senate DFL secured $125 Million in property tax refunds for Minnesota homeowners, bringing the average refund to $1,600.

A new recreation center for Cedar Riverside! That’s the plan and with the additional $1.5 million Rep. Noor and I secured in this year’s bonding bill, we are one step closer.

Yesterday, the peace and sacred time of prayer was interrupted by gunfire and violence during the Eid prayer gathering at Canterbury Park. Prayer must remain a time for reflection and peace.

My thoughts are with the victim, his family, and the entire community. I remain committed to working to end all forms of violence.

Today is the last day of the Minnesota legislative session as we need to be done at 11:59:59 Sunday night. We still have taxes, the HCMC fix, bonding, and DNR funding to go.

My key bills and priorities addressing ICE, schools, and gun violence made through our first committee deadlines. We need to key pushing and make life safer and a bit easier for all of Minnesota.

Today (Wed March 18), I presented my bill to increase school funding via Compensatory Aid - this will bring more funds directly into the classrooms that need it most. In Judiciary, I presented my bill to ban putting minor children on eviction notices.

Both bills passed in committee and are moving forward.
