🌟 Hard work and a positive attitude are two of the reasons Mckayla was named a Student of the Month at Minnesota Connections Academy last school year. 🌟
“This student always works hard and goes above and beyond in her work,” said teacher Ms. Dom. “She is always upbeat, positive, and understanding. She always works ahead to give herself all the time she needs on her big assignments. She is even graduating a year early and with all A's. She is a great kid.”
Mckayla, who was recently in 11th grade, has been attending the online school since 2022, said her mother, Sharron Becker.
Sharron said they chose the school because of its excellent student support, resources, tutors, flexibility, clubs and events. She also pointed out the no-bullying policy, extra learning resources for adulthood and in-person options for extracurricular activities.
She lauded the “caring and understanding of all teachers and staff towards my daughter's education. They are an important part of her success.” She said teacher Ms. Dom “helped her whenever she needed assistance… She allowed her full potential to grow.”
Her mother added, “I am looking forward to her next chapter in her life. Minnesota Connections Academy made a profound impact with an exceptional experience for her, and it gives me a sound feeling as a parent as my daughter transitions to an adult.”
