Vulnerable Minnesotans are being manipulated and defrauded by crypto kiosks, and it's time to put a stop to it. We must remove these kiosks from our neighborhoods, and today the Senate passed a bipartisan bill to do just that.

On Passover we remember the Jews’ flight from slavery to freedom. Next year may all people be free. May this season bring peace, renewal and time with loved ones. Chag Sameach!

Today is Trans Day of Visibility. We want to honor the beauty and resilience of the trans community. Trans Rights are Human Rights. Despite the continued attacks against the trans people across the country, we will continue to stand up for all Minnesotans.

Today we passed legislation that will create an Office of Animal Protection in Minnesota. This isn't just about protecting animals from cruelty - animal cruelty is often linked with future violence. This new office would protect animals, but it would also protect Minnesotans from future harm and injury. Proud to support it in our committee today.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - During Friday’s hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee, the committee led by Chair Senator Ron Latz (DFL-St. Louis Park) advanced bipartisan legislation creating an Office of Animal Protection within the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Senator Ron Latz (DFL-...

Today in the Commerce Committee we heard the Manufactured Home Residents Bill of Rights, an urgent and necessary package of protection Minnesotans need.

Advocates from across the state shared powerful testimony, and we made sure to defeat Republican efforts to weaken the bill.

I spoke out against and helped defeat a Republican amendment that would have removed a 3% cap on rent increases, which would have allowed private equity and other interests to exploit these Minnesotans.

I look forward to hearing this important bill in our Judiciary Committee this Friday.

No one could’ve foreseen a world where you could print the parts to make a gun at home, but that’s the world we live in today. Today we are one step closer to making sure our state laws reflect this new reality and the increasing prevalence of ghost guns. This legislation will close this dangerous loophole and help keep Minnesotans safe.

After Friday’s hearing on Gun Violence at the Senate, I shared my thoughts on WCCO Radio with Jason DeRusha about the powerful testimony we heard, the need for legislation that addresses the most dangerous fi****ms in our society, and why I think we can get things done this year.

Minnesotans are being evicted as we speak. That’s why the need for emergency rental assistance is urgent and necessary. We are moving quickly to help people affected by this unprecedented federal occupation keep a roof over their head.

I was honored to join the Governor, advocates, and Minnesotans from across the state Tuesday for a press conference on gun violence prevention. We’ve made progress with red flag laws and expanded background checks, but we have more work to do. I answered questions about the urgent work that lays ahead of us this year.
