We are only one week into summer, and already our community has witnessed incidents involving youth fighting, gun violence, serious car accidents, and young people struggling with limited access to resources, mentorship, and employment opportunities.
These are not just headlines—they are warning signs that many of our young people are facing challenges that deserve our attention, support, and action.
That is why events like The Courage Code: Youth Voices on Gun Violence & Leadership are so important.
Our youth are not just part of the conversation—they are the solution. They have firsthand experiences, powerful insights, and innovative ideas about what is happening in our schools, neighborhoods, and communities. When we create safe spaces for young people to speak, we empower them to become leaders, advocates, and changemakers.
This event is an opportunity for youth to:
✅ Share their experiences and concerns
✅ Discuss the impact of gun violence and community safety
✅ Explore what leadership means to them
✅ Offer solutions and visions for positive change
✅ Help adults better understand what support they truly need
If we want to reduce violence, increase opportunities, and build stronger communities, we must start by listening to the voices of those most affected.
