The Bridge Street Neck community page exists to connect & inform people who are interested in maintaining & protecting this historically significant transportation corridor in Salem MA, where the first European (Old Planters) settlement date back to 1626 according to the National Register of Historic Places. All posts need to be relevant to the Bridge Street Neck neighborhood. We use this FB page
as our public & social page. We have no web site. What we have been doing since 2014:
• Advocate for the betterment of the neighborhood (crosswalks, sidewalks, roads & traffic issues, trees, trash problems)
• Sponsored BSN traffic island since 2014 officially and unofficially
• Worked with the Chamber in putting on the Neighborhood Pride Beautification Contest
• Hosted 2 heated Ward 2 Councilor’s Forums
• Facilitate and engage in park & beach cleanups, pot lucks, & playground playdates, Dinner in Blue
• Host monthly meetings and put out monthly newsletters. We have been at this since 2014 thru volunteers and a few minor contributions here and there. However, for us to sustainably continue our efforts, we need to have funds to cover the basic necessities of printing flyers, registering as a 501(c)3 non-profit org., pay the City’s Traffic Island sign annual fee, put on more fun and neighborly events, etc…
Membership dues:
