I would like to get a quick poll of everyone watching here in Facebook land. I have been asked a few times about "door knocking" or coming to your homes to introduce myself. My stance on this is that it can come across as rude. Its not that I haven't met a lot of wonderful people throughout my campaign. I have tried very hard to make myself very available and frequently interact with people in public venues. I also put out videos on social media, make radio appearances, hosted meet and greets, and visited with people who are out and about. I have always felt like coming to your home unannounced may interrupt your personal time or the things you are doing which I know is precious since so many lead very busy lives. It feels like showing up to give you my very best used car pitch to try and win your vote in 20 minutes is doing something for me and not so much for you. When I interact with people I view it as the start of a trust building relationship with someone who will represent you and not just a "thanks for your vote and letting me stick a sign in your yard" OK thanks, see you again in 4 years when I need you again to get elected. I may be off base with this but my head interprets all this as one sided and self serving which is the farthest from what I am doing. Please remove me personally from the equation and think of any generic political candidate showing up. I would like people to comment here and let me know your thoughts on the topic. Perhaps I am thinking wrong but just trying to be respectful of everyone. Thanks and let me know.
