Last week, SPS English, math, and science teachers came together to focus on standards alignment. Through collaborative discussions and curriculum work, teachers connected our state accreditation goals (KESA) with our district mission, vision, and the learning experiences students encounter from kindergarten through graduation. This work strengthens connections for students and helps build a meaningful education for every learner.

Yesterday, the Salina Adult Education Center celebrated another successful group of Partners4Success graduates!

This year’s play days were a success! SPS Elementary students celebrated the end of the year with fun, friendship and exciting games filled with laughter and end of the year energy!

Salina Public Schools will have an early dismissal today, Monday, May 18, due to the forecast of severe weather.

P.M Pre-K, SAEC classes and all after-school activities, scheduled for this evening, will be canceled.

Early Dismissal Timeline will be as follows:
• Opportunity Now, Transitions and Project SEARCH students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.
• Middle School and High School students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m.
• Elementary students will be dismissed at 1:35 p.m.

We encourage families to monitor local weather conditions and make appropriate safety preparations.
