Today I am grateful I get to work from my office in the Seattle area, I am thankful for the good deal I got on my Airbnb and thankful that my puppies are being well cared for while I’m out of town. What are you thankful for today?

Today is one of those days when I’m struggling to find the bright points. I’m sitting on my couch and thinking through the day knowing that good things happened. As I typed that sentence Niko dropped his head onto my foot and it made me smile, so I am thankful for that. I am thankful my attorney got me excused from court tomorrow as being in the room is triggering and I’m thankful that my employer is willing to consider approving some changes in where I live.

It’s so funny how once I found one good thing the rest started to flow. What went well for you today?

Life can be stressful and sometimes downright overwhelming. We are inundated in negative news and world conflict and it can be hard to see all of the beauty in life. One of my best friends once challenged me to end the day by listing three things that went well. It is a fun exercise to do with other because gratitude and joy are contagious and the more I focus on it the more I see it.

If your timeline looks like mine there can be a lot of negativity to scroll through. I would like to add some gratitude to remind myself that in the midst of elections, wars and controversy the sun still rises, the flowers still bloom, people are still sometimes kind to one another and those are the things I want to see more of in my feed.

So what went well? I will go first. I am grateful to look out my window and see not a single cloud in the sky. I am grateful to listen to my dogs play with their new tug toy and I am grateful that at the end of the stressful day I can sit down and paint

I would love to hear from you and see pictures or read about the things that bring you gratitude and joy
