Gavilan View Middle School “Home of the Hawks” Middle School Gavilan View Middle School is one of two middle schools serving 6th through 8th graders in the Santa Rita Union School District.

GVMS is located in Salinas, California and first opened its doors to local students in 1981. The school's mascot is the Hawk. At the start of this school year, our Santa Rita Union School District Board of Trustees developed and approved a Strategic Action with the following Core Values:

Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team! Our 6th-8th grade girls soccer team competed in the South Monterey County Girls Soccer Tournament on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Main St. Middle School in Soledad, CA. They won all 3 of their games and won first place in the tournament! We are so proud of our Lady Hawks!!!
