Yesterday, we honored his life, his 23-years of service to Salinas Fire Department, his love of his family, and his commitment to the residents of Salinas. You will be so missed, Friend.

The Annual SHARE Center Toy Drive! Incoming Mayor Donohue and I are teaming up with Monterey County Supervisor Luis A. Alejo to collect toys for the SHARE Center! Helping children and families in our homeless shelter. You can drop them off at City Hall, or at Supervisor Alejo's office on W. Alisal!

The City of Salinas learned of the cancelation of Parade of Lights this morning on social media.

Obviously, we value this event tremendously, and have proactively reached out to the organizers, to try to save the parade. Multiple city staff are working right now to offer support and assistance to keep the event scheduled for December 1st. Please stay tuned.

PARADE CANCELED | Salinas Holiday Parade of Lights organizers took to social media Thursday to announce the cancelation of their annual event.

They cited a "lack of support" as their reason for cancelation this year. They assured the public they would be back to host the event on November 30, 2025.
