Just heard this.
I just read that only 1/3 of eligible humans actually vote.
So basically, 99 people in a room trying to figure out what to eat. Only 33 of them make a effort of a choice, and the other 66 gonna get ONLY what the 33 SPOKE UP AND SAID.

Then complain about it. That’s literally where we are at, for now.
Please vote. Not just the Presidency. The road to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue starts at city/county/town council(s).

Wicomico County Public School students in grades K-12 get a free, fun jumpstart on Back-to-School readiness at the fourth annual Fresh Start event, Sun., Aug. 23, 1-4 PM at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury announces that the contractor working on the Naylor Mill Water Main Extension Project will conduct nighttime construction activities at the intersection of Naylor Mill and Jersey Road next week.

Night work is currently scheduled for Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work may also continue Wednesday night, August 19, if needed.

The roadway will remain open to traffic and will be limited to one lane during construction. Motorists should expect traffic control operations and flaggers in the area and are encouraged to use caution, reduce speeds, and follow all posted signage and directions from flagging personnel.

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement project moves forward. Additional updates will be provided as construction progresses.

Ok so, here we are. This apparently isn’t just a County issue, it’s a state issue. I would theorize that it’s a National issue as well. That said, Wicomico County’s policy is a product of state law. So, the County is obligated to address, and abide, and rightfully so.

The safety concerns, that most of you/us feel ARE RELEVANT. Communicate your concerns with your school(s) principal/leader(s). Go to meetings, set ip meetings, and come with facts. Distractions, are a MAJOR issue in the classroom(s), and halls, and definitely need to be addressed and dealt with.

Help your kids understand when it IS necessary, and not necessary to use mobile devices. Folks, even on our jobs, there are policies in place of when it is, or is not necessary to use our adult owned mobile devices. Also, this is just a start. Policy(ies), can be added to, change, amended, etc etc as needed. It’s necessary to. Change is uncomfortable, and maybe irritating at times, but more importantly, it’s inevitable.
