For the past 13 years, Visiting Angels of the Eastern Shore has been dedicated to helping vulnerable seniors remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home. Today, we serve families across eight counties on Marylandās Eastern Shore, with offices in Easton, Salisbury, and Berlin.
This year, weāve made it a priority to increase awareness and education surrounding Alzheimerās disease and dementia. One way weāre doing that is through our Alzheimerās Simulation, an interactive experience that helps participants better understand some of the challenges individuals living with dementia may experience.
We recently welcomed 47 ABC - WMDT and WBOC TV 16 Delmarva's News Leader to learn more about the simulation and see it in action. Weāre grateful for their help in sharing this important message with families across the Eastern Shore.
Our commitment to education continues through free Alzheimerās and dementia classes, one-on-one and family sessions, and educational programs for local businesses. Weāre also proud to partner with the Veterans Administration to provide free home care to veterans in our community and support the Alzheimerās Association and its local resources.
And our work continues! š Our 5th Annual Strikeout Alzheimerās Bowling Fundraiser is coming up on October 7 at Southbound Alley, helping us continue raising awareness and supporting those affected by Alzheimerās and dementia.
Thank you to WMDT and WBOC for helping us continue the conversation and spread awareness! š
