Some of the best moments happen outdoors. 🌳 A short walk, a chat on the porch, a breath of fresh air, with plenty of water breaks along the way to keep everyone feeling their best!

For the past 13 years, Visiting Angels of the Eastern Shore has been dedicated to helping vulnerable seniors remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home. Today, we serve families across eight counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, with offices in Easton, Salisbury, and Berlin.

This year, we’ve made it a priority to increase awareness and education surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. One way we’re doing that is through our Alzheimer’s Simulation, an interactive experience that helps participants better understand some of the challenges individuals living with dementia may experience.

We recently welcomed 47 ABC - WMDT and WBOC TV 16 Delmarva's News Leader to learn more about the simulation and see it in action. We’re grateful for their help in sharing this important message with families across the Eastern Shore.

Our commitment to education continues through free Alzheimer’s and dementia classes, one-on-one and family sessions, and educational programs for local businesses. We’re also proud to partner with the Veterans Administration to provide free home care to veterans in our community and support the Alzheimer’s Association and its local resources.

And our work continues! šŸ’™ Our 5th Annual Strikeout Alzheimer’s Bowling Fundraiser is coming up on October 7 at Southbound Alley, helping us continue raising awareness and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Thank you to WMDT and WBOC for helping us continue the conversation and spread awareness! šŸ’™

And Eva doesn’t stop there! She’s also always happy to lend a hand at our community events and help us stay connected with the community we’re proud to serve.

Thank you, Eva, for all that you do! We’re so lucky to have you on our team. šŸ’œ

Not sure where to start with in-home care? That's exactly what your free consultation is for.

We'll come to you, sit down with your family, and get to know your loved one, their routine, their needs, and their personality. Then we build a custom care plan around THEM, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Cindy and Buzz were recently on The Home Care Millionaire Podcast with Paul Tembunde and Joan Ekobena. They asked us what it takes to serve families spread across a market where clients can be 50 to 100 miles apart, and that opened up a conversation about a side of home care people don’t always see.

In the episode, we shared more about things like:

šŸ’” What surprised us most in the early years
šŸ’”The pressure of covering long-distance care well
šŸ’” Moments that still stay with us from the COVID years
šŸ’” The emotional side of helping seniors

We had a good time recording it. Hope you enjoy it too.
