I have been locked in battle with my paint brushes for the past few days. I have long wanted to paint this scene and reviewing the image of it a week ago stirred that desire. At the end of a run down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River is one last rapid and it is a good one. Becky and I were a one boat trip on the MFSR this time and ran Cramer very early in the morning. I pulled in the eddy below and recorded several spectacular photos of the scene. Ever since then I have wanted to paint it....but I knew it would be a very involved commitment. Now I am done.
