The net control is one of the club members and all amateurs are welcome to check into this net. The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a long tradition of providing service to the people of the Concho Valley. Originally organized in the 1920s, the club continues that tradition today by providing communications support to public service events such as Christmas in April, the Crop Walk for Hunger, and similar events. Club member participation in the National Weather Service's SKYWARNโ„ข severe weather spotting program provides timely on-the-scene weather observations via the weather service's club radio station N5NWS located in the Doppler radar room at the San Angelo NWS office.

Good afternoon, Please note that tomorrow's (Thurs 8/13) General Club meeting will be held at the EOC at 8485 Hangar Road at 7pm. The reason for the location change is that we will have a guest speaker, Harley Chrane, give a presentation on the basics of Artificial Intelligence tools and how they can be used in everyday life. Anyone interested in AI or in Amateur Radio is welcome to attend this meeting and presentation.

Harley isn't a ham operator yet, but is interested in getting his license, and he graciously accepted our invitation to present his talk at the Radio Club, based on the AI presentation he gave recently to the Concho Valley Technology Alliance. You can find more about Harley and the CVTA at:

https://www.conchovalleytech.org/past-events

Join us tomorrow to the EOC at 7pm, and bring your questions you have about AI!
