Call (210) 353-HELP from a neighbor's house as soon as possible. Never try to locate the source of a gas leak yourself. We will remove any posts that include personal attacks, offensive language, inaccurate information, or that are meant to sell a product or service. We reserve the right to hide excessive wall postings in order to enhance our visitor experience. Questions and comments will be answered during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm CST. If you require additional support, call (210) 353-2222 or feel free to stop by one of our four (4) customer service centers to make your next payment or request assistance with other items. Think you can spot a scam? 👀 With tactics getting more savvy, it's not always easy to tell when you're dealing with a scammer.

WARNING SIGNS:
⚠️ They trick you into trusting them by pretending to be an official CPS Energy representative and claiming that you have a payment due.
⚠️ They want you to panic and feel a sense of urgency by threatening immediate disconnection unless you make a payment NOW.

HOW TO RESPOND:
✅ Hang up (or stop responding to messages) and report the number to our Customer Service team: 210-353-2222
✅ Check Manage My Account to view your bills and any balances due.

Neighbors helping neighbors is what public power is all about. 🤝💡 Our crews are back home after completing the 2026 Light Up Navajo VII, where they helped bring light and hope to thousands of families in the Navajo Nation who were living without electricity.

This marks our third year working with the American Public Power Association on this life-changing initiative, and we couldn't be more grateful to our crews for volunteering their service and lighting the way for others who need it most. Way to go, team! 💙🧡

Now customers can get all the benefits of solar power without even needing a roof! ☀️💡 We've partnered with Big Sun Solar to expand our Community Solar Program and reduce barriers to solar ownership.

Here's how it works:
✅ Customers who participate in the program can receive bill credits for purchasing one or several solar panels in shared solar facilities throughout San Antonio.
✅ There's no installation required for your home or business, no maintenance costs, and you can continue receiving bill credits for the next 20 years. 🤩

When it comes to detecting a natural gas leak, customers are the first line of defense. Even if you don’t use natural gas, pipelines may be located near you. Utilities use Mercaptan to odorize natural gas which gives it the distinctive smell similar to rotten eggs. Below are additional warning signs you can use if you suspect a natural gas leak:

USE YOUR SENSES TO DETECT A NATURAL GAS LEAK
👀SIGHT – dense fog, mist or white cloud, discolored or dead vegetation, bubbling in water or blowing in dust.
👃SMELL – a distinctive odor is added to natural gas to make it easier to detect.
🔉SOUND – hissing, whistling, or roaring noise.

⚠️🚫 Never trim trees near electric lines!

While overgrown tree limbs and vegetation can potentially cause outages or other damage, only tree-trimming companies that have met OSHA qualifications may trim trees away from high-voltage power lines.

WHAT TO DO INSTEAD:
If your tree is already in contact with power lines or at close risk, our team can schedule a crew to come trim your overgrown trees for free. Please report it by calling 210-353-2222, or visit cpsenergy.com/treetrimming.
