THE JUSTICE REPLAY ⚖️ | Aug. 30–Sept. 5

Another week of progress in the pursuit of justice. Our prosecutors and staff continued moving cases through the system, working to hold offenders accountable while seeking justice for victims and keeping our community safe.

This week, our office reached 1,181 total felony and misdemeanor dispositions, with 61% successfully prosecuted through guilty verdicts or deferred adjudication.

As we reflect on this past week’s case outcomes, it is important to remember that the work does not stop here. While we may not see sentencing or convictions every day, a significant amount of effort is taking place both inside and outside the courtroom. We are constantly engaging with law enforcement to discuss charging decisions and ensuring that every piece of evidence is meticulously gathered and reviewed to ensure a strong case. These numbers are not just statistics. They represent the hard work and commitment of our law enforcement partners, investigators, victim advocates, and dedicated support staff involved in the criminal justice process.

Another week, another snapshot of the work happening across the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.

From August 16–24, our office recorded 1,073 case dispositions—including 460 felony and 613 misdemeanor cases. 61% were successfully prosecuted through guilty verdicts or deferred adjudications.

Behind every number is a team working to move cases forward. Prosecutors, investigators, advocates, paralegals, and staff spend countless hours building cases, reviewing evidence, supporting victims and witnesses, and pursuing outcomes that promote accountability and justice.

The Justice Replay offers a weekly look at that work—and the people behind the numbers who continue to serve Bexar County every day.

Last week, the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office recorded 1,094 case dispositions, including 488 felony and 606 misdemeanor dispositions. Of those, 58% were successfully prosecuted through guilty verdicts or deferred adjudications.

While the number of cases we handle each week may fluctuate, the work behind each disposition remains consistent. Our prosecutors, advocates, investigators, paralegals, and staff dedicate countless hours to reviewing evidence, preparing cases, supporting victims, and seeking resolutions that uphold justice and serve our community.

With roughly 60,000 cases handled annually, much of this work happens outside the courtroom. Through The Justice Replay, we’re providing a weekly look at the work being done across our office and our continued commitment to serving Bexar County.
