πŸ–€ In Loving Memory of Josephine Williams πŸ–€

The San Carlos Apache Enrollment Department and Committee extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Josephine Williams, a dedicated member of the Enrollment Committee representing the Peridot District.

Josephine faithfully served on the Enrollment Committee since 2017, carrying out the important and sacred responsibility of protecting and preserving the membership of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Her commitment, wisdom, and service reflected her deep love for her people and community. Most recently, she was approved to serve another four-year term, a testament to the trust and confidence placed in her by the community she proudly represented.

In addition to her service on the Enrollment Committee, Josephine devoted her life to educating and uplifting others. As a teacher at East Fork Lutheran School in Whiteriver and Peridot Lutheran School, she touched countless lives through her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to future generations.

We are grateful for her years of service, leadership, and devotion to both her community and her Creator. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her work here is complete and that our Heavenly Father has called her home to rest in His eternal peace.

Her contributions will not be forgotten, and her legacy will continue to guide the important work of enrollment and the lives of those she touched.

We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her husband, who recently passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and all who knew and loved her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23 ❀️

I am announcing the Chairman’s 2026 Scholarship Program.

Scholarship application is now open for students at all levels: Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, Graduate or Doctoral students. The scholarship is merit based.

Ever since I became Chairman, I have wanted to establish a scholarship program from my office as I believe and know how important Education and Training are for our people.

I thank the San Carlos Council for providing this opportunity by allocating funds to my office for my scholarship program and youth cohort program. We are in our third year.

I appreciate that our Education Department provides funding for scholarship and training opportunities for our tribal members but it’s not enough. Our departments and enterprises need to do more to supplement what our Education Department is doing.

I am doing my share by allocating $100,000 for scholarship opportunities from my office. I thank my staff for putting this program together.

I encourage our departments and enterprises to do more in this area. I thank our San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation and our Peridot District Economic Enterprise for starting their own scholarship programs too. We can and should do more for the future of our children.

This is a great opportunity. Please read for more information.

God bless our children.
