πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Happy Fourth of July, San Diego! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today, we celebrate more than fireworks and festivities. We celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the communities we call home, and the people who make this city so special.

As families, friends, and neighbors come together across San Diego, the men and women of the San Diego Police Department remain committed to serving and protecting our community. While many celebrate, our officers, dispatchers, and public safety personnel continue working throughout the holiday to help keep San Diego safe.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and our freedom. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to gather with family, enjoy this beautiful city, and live the lives we often take for granted. Today, we remember those heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward every day.

From all of us at SDPD β€” thank you to our fallen service members, veterans, active military, and Gold Star families. Your courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As you enjoy the weekend, please celebrate responsibly, look out for one another, and stay safe, San Diego. β€οΈπŸ’™
