The County of San Diego hosts 2 Community Action Network meetings a month to connect service providers to resources. This opportunity is really overlooked by small board and cares, yet is a good place to put yourself in front of providers that work with seniors and can refer residents. We will put the next meeting date and time in the comments!

Attn: 6 bed Choose Well members. We have a family who is a couple that needs assisted living. They want to be in a board and care, in a large room together. They are looking for memory care too. They are currently staying at a large community, and the family wishes to move them to a smaller community. If you can provide service, please DM us!

Two facilities by the same owner (not Choose Well members) just got busted for wage theft and exploiting immigrants. While working seven days a week at $7 an hour may surprise many, it is quite common in the industry. When you consider that caregivers are responsible for residents 24/7, yet often are not paid at night, their effective wages can fall well below the legal minimum.

Rose Garden in Vista and Rose Garden Capo in Escondido have been transferred to state care.
