"They were courageous. They were warriors. They are heroes." ❤️
On June 28, 2005, Operation Red Wings became a defining moment of courage and sacrifice. A Navy SEAL team including LT Michael P. Murphy was ambushed in the Afghan mountains while tracking a Taliban leader. Outnumbered and under fire, LT Murphy gave his life to call for help. A rescue mission ended in tragedy when a Chinook helicopter was shot down, killing 16 aboard. In total, 19 heroes were lost. Their bravery and selflessness remind us of the true cost of freedom.
Today, Sunday, June 28th, marks 21 years since Operation Red Wing and to pay our respects, we are participating in a workout similar to The Murph Challenge™ --
