Overview:
Carrier Strike Group Fifteen (CCSG15) is a 1-star command under Commander, U.S. Tactical Training Group, Pacific and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific are subordinate commands. The command was previously known as Strike Force Training Pacific (CSFTP), Carrier Group ONE/Commander, Carrier Striking Force (CCG-1). History:
CCSG 15 began as Carrier Division ONE (COMCARDIV 1) and

generally operated in the Pacific. Between 1971 and 1975, the organization became Carrier Group ONE. In 2004, it became Carrier Strike Group ONE, and in 2005 it was redesignated Commander, Strike Force Training Pacific. In 2014 the name was then changed to Carrier Strike Group Fifteen. Commander Carrier Division ONE (COMCARDIV 1) was the first aircraft carrier formation in the United States when it was organized in October 1930 as part of the Aircraft Scouting Force, U.S. In 1939, Carrier Division ONE was transferred to the Pacific Scouting Force. Aircraft carriers assigned to COMCARDIV 1 saw service in World War Two, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. In June 1973, Commander Carrier Division ONE was redesignated Commander Carrier Group ONE (COMCARGRU 1). In December 1990, following commanding Battle Group Delta, COMCARGRU 1 was designated Commander Training Battle Group, with responsibility for Carrier Battle Group Inter-Deployment Training Cycle (IDTC) within the U.S. Pacific Fleet. Congratulations to Chief Fire Controlman Steven Foose on his reenlistment aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71)!

Foose was reenlisted by Rear Adm. Justin Kubu, commander of Carrier Strike Group Fifteen, contributing to the legacy of his father, who deployed on TR eight days after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and his mother, who also reenlisted on TR during her time in the U.S. Navy.
