I am a spouse of an active duty service member aboard the USS San Diego, selected by the Commanding Officer to be the main liaison between the command and its families. I have received Basic Ombudsman Training, and take part in continuing education and networking opportunities that help me perform my duties to the best of my abilities. My goal is to be a source of assistance to sailors’ families a

t home, so that the service members they love are able to focus on the mission. I am not meant to solve the issues of those that reach out to me. Instead, my job is to empower family members to help themselves by providing resources, information and plenty of support. I also act as a communication link between the Commanding Officer and command families as necessary. Through this page, I share Navy-sponsored resources, command activities, and local and ship-related events. This information is specifically directed toward the family members and friends of USS San Diego sailors.
