Revolt In Style We pack our five departments: Action Sports, Music, Style, Culture & Gear with valuable reader services.

Revolt In Style is dedicated to promoting the best events, brands, venues, products and services thru quality advertising and editorial. Our Story

For well over 30 years, Revolt In Style has been at the forefront of Southern California culture. Created in the early 80’s as a guide to ‘New Wave’, complete with the music, fashion & nightlife of the times. In the 90’s it evolved into a Frat Brother

lifestyle mag complete with low brow humor, sex, drugs & Rock and Roll. Revolt traded hands numerous times in the 2000’s changing themes and physical dimensions with each new owner. Finally, in 2006, Brian & Leslie Terhorst purchased and re-imagined the publication completely, this time with a positive spin on laid back lifestyles. Simultaneously, the duo began organizing special events to help fill the pages of the magazine each month. Concerts, parties, fashion shows and sporting events were produced in numerous venues and communities around San Diego. In 2018 The Revolt Summer Surf Series celebrated Season 12, while the The Sunday X3 Paddle Race series celebrated Season 5. Both are now the largest Pro Am series of their kind on the West Coast and are widely supported by athletes & media from around the globe. With an emphasis on action sports, alternative rock and Southern California Style, Revolt In Style continues to set the bar for Free Publications. Our mission is to showcase the active lifestyle in a youthful, smart, artistic and evocative style while staying true to our roots in music, surf, skate, snow and other sub cultures. We pack our five departments: Action Sports, Music, Style, Entertainment, & Gear with valuable reader services. Revolt In Style is dedicated to promoting the best brands, venues, products, and services thru quality advertising and editorial. Our award winning staff of photo journalists & writers offer everything from exclusive athlete & celebrity interviews to insightful columns & key environmental issues. We supply reviews & previews of the hottest music, movies, dining & craft beer joints, new gear and styles. Our readers know they can trust us to find out what’s new and exciting. The entire issue is available online, shared widely on social media & is now enjoyed worldwide by our followers!

Teahupo'o went full throttle.

Erin Brooks pulled off the kind of comeback that makes your palms sweat through the screen. Seth Moniz finally grabbed his first CT win after seven years of getting knocked around by the tour. And Kelly Slater? Somehow still causing arguments, breaking hearts, and making people yell at scorecards from the couch.

The Outerknown Tahiti Pro gave us barrels, chaos, controversy, and a Finals Day that absolutely earned the hype.

🏄‍♂️ **FROM THE RSSS TO U.S. OPEN CHAMPION!**

This one is especially cool for us.

Encinitas' **Jake Marshall just claimed the biggest win of his career at the 2026 Lexus U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach** - defeating two-time champion Kanoa Igarashi in a dramatic Final.

Long before Jake was competing against the world's best on the Championship Tour, he was an alum of our own **Revolt Summer Surf Series Pro-Am**.

To see one of the young surfers who came through our contests go on to win one of surfing's most iconic events is pretty damn awesome.

Australia's **Sierra Kerr** also delivered a huge breakthrough, defeating World Junior Champion Isla Huppatz to claim her first U.S. Open and Challenger Series victory.

What a Finals Day in Huntington Beach.

Longtime Revolt In Style friend Mark Langford has launched his new music video, “Artemis Too,” and this one is headed straight for the moon. 🚀

A rock and roll experiment in instrumental guitar, “Artemis Too” is packed with fat riffs, big tone, cosmic weirdness, and the kind of six-string fire that reminds you why Mark is a true guitar virtuoso.

Revolt Summer Surf Series friends may remember Mark tearing it up live on the beach. This time, he is blasting off from Earth, passing the International Space Station, landing on the moon, and somehow ending up behind the wheel of a lunar tractor.

It is weird, fun, self-aware, and completely Mark.

In case you missed it — the new X Games League era just kicked off in Sacramento, and it came in hot.

MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026 brought three days of packed crowds, world-class BMX and skateboarding, teen phenoms, legends still dominating, and multiple never-been-done tricks.

Miyu Ito doubled up with two golds, Gui Khury kept his Vert takeover rolling, Garrett Reynolds added another chapter to his BMX Street legacy, Ryan Williams landed the impossible, and 11-year-old Mia Kretzer closed the weekend with a storybook Vert win.

Sacramento set the bar. Chiba and New Orleans are next.

The QS grind just got a serious shake-up in Surf City.

Bailey Turner and Parker Cohn claimed the 2026 Vans Jack’s Surfboards Pro Presented by 805 QS 4,000, each locking down their first career QS win at Huntington Beach Pier.

Turner, just 17 and surfing at home, showed poise under pressure to take the women’s title. Cohn, a Newport Beach grinder who’s been putting in years on the Qualifying Series, broke through on the men’s side with a win that hit hard.

First QS wins. 4,000 points. Home-coast energy. That’s the kind of story competitive surfing is built on.
