Another nice turnout for the monthly Rise & Grind Cleanup, including two new parents of a 6-week old baby boy.

8 bags of trash cleared from the surrounding neighborhood and nearby areas of Golden Gate Park. Then, some great conversation over coffee.

It’s the little things.

We’ve been cleaning the medians along Geary in the Inner Richmond to see what it takes to keep them clean, and surprisingly, it doesn’t take much other than consistency.

Been doing some extra by cleaning the crosswalk of leaves, weeds, & dirt.

Cheers to the Campari for organizing a beach cleanup with us for their Campari Day of Service yesterday!

They gathered volunteers from their industry contacts in hospitality and food & beverage to come out. A great effort with several people filling 3 full bags of litter each.

It's always a good time to keep SF clean, but the amazing weather over the past weekend didn't hurt, and we had a tremendous turnout (even for our high standards) with over 600 volunteers cleaning 630+ bags of trash from our local environment.

Pocket Garden(ing) in Laurel Village this morning.

More volunteers than needed came out to plant the end cap at Mayfair and Laurel, a spot that had been overgrown and trashed for years before the local community came out to care for it.

In honor of 9/11, which has now become a National Day of Service and Remembrance, and coinciding with Transit Month, we organized a cleanup along the 1 California Muni Route. Along the 5.5-mile and 5-hour journey, dozens of volunteers joined us along the way and removed 40+ trash bags of litter.

9/11 was one of those moments you remember where you were when it happened. Those of us old enough also remember that sense of togetherness we felt afterwards, united to not let the terrorist win, united as one nation.

San Francisco is special, and our small acts of positivity are building towards something iconic of our city and legendary worldwide. We recently crossed another bittersweet milestone of having removed over 1.5 million gallons of trash, enough litter to fill two Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Let's just continue to keep our eyes down hunting for litter, but hold our heads high knowing that we’re creating the community that should be. Come be a part of our history and join neighborhood cleanups!

Got to visit the 61st floor and get some stunning views of one of the most beautiful cities in world.

Back to school with Millennium School.

Each year the new cohort of 6th graders take their turn keeping the neighborhood around their school in the Western Addition clean, including Jefferson Square Park, which has been totally transformed.

While some others rest this Labor Day Weekend, there's no letup in our efforts to keep San Francisco clean with 26 cleanups citywide attended by 420 total volunteers that picked up 450+ bags worth of litter.
