An Introduction of Plants and Planting Design in the Landscape

We have two events for SF Design Week which runs June 14-22.

One is on Saturday, June 17, at the SF Arboretum to learn about Plants and Planting Design

Rhino 3D for Designers:
A new digital graphics course that begins in mid-April. Explore new ways of drawing in 3D that is becoming more popular in landscape architecture field.

Green Roofs Systems:
Learn about principles of creating sustainable landscapes on-structure, such as green roofs, podium decks, and elevated linear parks.

We are fortunate to have instructors Chris Hardy, Zack Vieth, and Justin Winters in our program. They are with the SWA Group, a distinguished landscape architecture and urban design firm in SF.

Chris co-teaches the Neighborhood Design Studio and he and Zack are instructors for the Construction Technology courses. Justin has taught our project management/construction documentation studio as well as our introductory course.

It is great that they bring their expertise into our classrooms.

Our Advanced Digital Visualization Tools course is running this Summer from June 16 to Aug 4. A short, eight session course, instructor David Vasquez will guide you through more intermediate to advanced Photoshop and SketchUp techniques.


Our Ecology for Designers course taught by Architect Dave Deppen and landscape designer Jennifer Berry, will be offered again this Summer, June 22 - Aug 24. It is always good to learn away from the computer screen.
