Ali Collins Productions Hi! I'm Ali Collins, the creator of SF Public School Mom and Just Talks Podcast. And let’s be clear… I have no problem BLOCKING or deleting.

I created this space so parents, researchers, educators, artists, and activists can share ideas to promote education justice and support public schools. This page is for parents and educators to share information, about how to support education justice and public schools. As an involved parent, I am interested in moving "beyond the bake sale", to support our academic success for all children. By b

ecoming informed and asking questions we can create public schools of the highest quality. GROUND RULES FOR POSTING: (If I didn't have some "groundrules" what kind of teacher would I be?) I love lively debate and encourage you to use this page to share resources and information with other educators and parents. But please, no profanity or personal attacks... basically, keep it conversational. By posting links, pictures or comments, you are agreeing to abide by my ground rules for posting.

Dismantling the Department of Education won’t give states more control—it will defund and destabilize public schools. States already oversee most of public education, but federal support ensures students have the resources they need.

I've learned that adversity can propel you to opportunities you might not have taken advantage of before. With that in mind, many of us are flocking to YouTube to establish our own platforms, and as much as we can diversify and own our own content, that is important. Our future president has stated he wants to create a state-owned social media company. If he succeeds, it will set a precedent for that to happen elsewhere (if it isn't already happening with Twitter and Facebook with the social media moguls kissing the ring of our future dictator.)

So, it is what it is. The question is: What do we do with that information? This is what I'm doing.

Americans are so mad at the American government for banning TikTok they are intentionally migrating to Xiaohongshu (AKA: REDNote), an app that is ACTUALLY owned by the CCP.

Read the article in comments.

[image: picture of a BlueSky s***t that reads:

Politicians: We are banning TikTok to protect America.

Also politicians: I’ll show me!

“as US TikTok culture jokes about willingly handing over their data to a Chinese company … as payback for the government's ban of the app, the US national security over TikTok just got even more problematic.”]

The power of racial affinity spaces is transformative.

Creating intentional spaces for healing, growth, and bridging differences fosters the honest dialogue we need to confront inequities and collectively reimagine systems that make justice a reality.

The changemakers and champions for equity joining our virtual workshop, "Facilitating Racial Affinity Spaces: Building Bridges Across Difference," on March 13 from 12:30–3:30pm EDT/9:30–12:30pm PT can expect to leave equipped with strategies and practices that help them create and lead racial affinity spaces rooted in belonging and geared for liberation.

Register today: bit.ly/facilitating-racial-affinity-spaces. Open to all!

It is not a coincidence that on March 18th, the very day that my tweets were shared with the SF Chronicle, Friends of Lowell Foundation also announced its aim to reinstate “merit”-admission at Lowell via a letter by Harmeet Dhillon’s law firm. As you may recall the Friends of Lowell Foundation press conference was announced by by so-called Democrat Nancy Tung and Josephine Zhao.

Foe the record, Harmeet Dhillon is Trump Lawyer who has represented Milo Yanopolis, and Andy Ngo alt right provocateurs who are known for inciting violence.

Dhillon has a long history with the far right, from Reagan-era provocations to repping MAGA-world’s top instigators. After Elon Musk purchased Twitter, he brought in Andy Ngo an extremist conspiracy theorist to reinstate accounts banned for hatespeech and other community violations. Libs of TikTok is one such account noted for anti-trans hate speech responsible for tweets that have resulted in schools and hospitals getting bomb threats.

Mark Zuckerberg has downgraded posts that share news. So I’m posting the letter that Friends of Lowell sent SFUSD. I will share news in the comments.
