Welcome Back Ag Teacher Candidates!!

If you are planning on earning your Ag Credentials, make sure you attend the Quarterly Orientation THIS THURSDAY, April 6th from 11:10-12 in 10-206 with Dr. Swan & Mr. Parsons.

If you are taking EDUC 419 with Mr. Clark, there is an orientation in 10-241 from 12-1pm in 10-241 right after the Orientation downstairs.

IF you are planning on Student Teaching this Upcoming FALL Semester, email Dr. Swan ([email protected]) to make an appointment to ensure you're enrolled in all of the correct classes this quarter. Needs to happen by this Friday.

Last call for Friday's ATA tour of North County Ag... depart @ 8am from Ag Circle, Return @ 4pm. Get your $20 to Donetta by 4pm today!! The $20 will get you lunch and sheep ice cream and cheese tasting. It will NOT be refunded as initially communicated. You will not regret attending this annual activity!

Ag Science & Ag Communication Students:

You are invited to our ANNUAL Ag Literacy Tour. On Friday (2/24) we will depart campus @ 8am and head to Templeton and visit Opolo Vineyard & Winery, Pasolivo Olive Oil Company, provided lunch @ Nino's Grille, Negranti Creamery & Cheesery, & a Vanilla Bean processing plant. Sounds deliciously adventurous!!

Please sign up by NEXT Tuesday with Donetta by 4pm to save your seat. The trip costs $20 and will cover some of the costs for lunch and tasting. There will be NO refunds as we will be charged whether you show up or not. Because of tasting fees, there will NOT BE a refund. You and your tasting pallet will NOT be disappointed.

1. Thursday (10/29) - 11:10-Noon Chumash Auditorium... Listen to Karen Ross, Secretary of California Department of Food & Ag
2. Monday (11/2) - 6:30-8pm - Potato Bar with ATA hosting Guest Speaker
3. Thursday (11/5) - 11am - Midnight - Fundraiser @ Buffalo Wild Wings. Mention "CFFA" and we get a portion of the proceeds!
4. Friday (11/6) - 6:30am in 10-100. ATA hosts Student Teacher Breakfast - Listen to our current students teachers in 10-100. Get your $5 to Donetta in 10-244 by NEXT Wednesday.
5. Saturday (11/7) - 5pm Tailgate in 10-100 prior to CP Football game... kickoff @ 6pm. Pizza, Salad, & Non-Alcoholic Drinks. NEED to RSVP to event when posted on FB. We're inviting CFFA & ATA members, current AgEd & Comm Faculty Families, & Local Ag Teachers for the social.

Get ready... ATA is hosting a panel of three local Ag teaching couples to discuss balancing relationships. We'll have dessert and interact with the couples on Wednesday, January 28th in 10-100, 7-8pm. Please RSVP in the comment section so we get enough dessert. Happy New Year!!!!!!
